There is a magnificent view of the Danube with the
Houses of Parliament on the opposite bank.
Museum of Fine Arts - Szépművészeti múzeum
Gellért Hill - Gellért hegy
This is the best point from which to see the panorama
of the city. The Statue of St.Gellért and the Citadel can be found here.
Margaret Island - Margit sziget
In the middle of the Danube. and nearly two miles long.
it is a spacious and varied leisure park with its own spa.
A lot of different establishments provide recreation
facilities for the inhabitants of the capital. such as the
Grand Hotel. the National Sport Swimming Pool etc.
Heroes’square - Hősök tere
It was erected in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the founding of Hungary. On the tall column stands the figure of an angel bearing the ancient emblem of Hungary and its base is surrounded by bronze horsemen representing the Hungarian chieftains who led their tribes to this land.
City Park - Városliget
The largest open space in Budapest. it contains the zoo. the fun fair and a castle specially built to show the many styles of Hungarian architecture.
